Comments for Toure, Ali Farka, Talking Timbuktu

This is indeed a wonderful album, to be listened religiously. Two masters of the blues guitar combine their talent and different cultural roots to produce magic. Plus, it is so well recorded that you feel you're there with them, singing those suberb hybrid blues chants!

I love this album! "Lasidan" may be the one of the most haunting songs ever recorded.

very good indeed, the second track is one of my favorits,I can''t possibly recall its name, up to now I thought it would be "Gerisu" which I supposed had to do something with smiling.
African vocal traditional blues, augmented by Ry Cooderplaying guitar and various other instruments. Toure hasa great voice and a good guitar style, the songs are simpleand direct, mostly guitar and percussion. Special guestsClarence `Gatemouth` Brown, Jim Keltner & John Patitucci.Well recorded - I recommend it, although many of the songsstart sounding similar (especially because I can`tunderstand the words).
