According to the latest issue of Tellurian, there are no plans for this album to be released in the UK or Europe for the forseeable future (which is a shame as my demo tape is wearing out!)

Dear Toyah Fans! Finally, I have now the CD "Take the Leap"! It is a fantastic album. As we say in Germany: "Geteilte Freude ist doppelte Freude", I will tell you how to order your own copy: 1. Where: Visit the URL:" http://www.cdbanzai.com/" and search for Toyah. In the result list there is a title called "Talk the Leap", that is a typing mistake. Actually it is "Take the Leap" 2. Price: Including shipping costs to Germany: DEM 88.00 (I think to other European States, it will be a similar price) 3. Delivery Time: 8 Weeks Be proud, be loud, be heard! Thomas

What an album! I got hold of it in 1996 when I found it in a catalogue, as it's never been released in Germany. After Dreamchild and Looking Back this has put back my faith in Toyah. God Ceases To Dream and Now I'm Running are two outstanding new songs, Waiting and Ieya are brilliant new recordings and Toyah's voice sounds perfect. The rock sound to it makes the album sound great, although a few keyboards here and there would have fit in fine as well.

The old tracks have been re-recorded with a new band. Whilst one or two are quite pleasant the band are nowhere near the calibre of Bogen, Spalding and co.

After many years away from the Toyah phenomenon I've only just caught up with this album - WOW ! It really shows that Toyah can still rock with the best of them and the quality of the new songs is on a par with the greatest of the late seventies/eighties stuff. 'Now I'm Running' and 'Invisible Love' could both be released as singles and with a bit of promotion could make a hefty dent in the charts. What a shame that this isn't available in the UK on a commercial release, it knocks spots off Phoenix or whatever that project prefers to be called. I urge any true Toyah fan to track it down, even the re-records of the old stuff are done with respect, the weakest of these probably being Thunder which has never matched the power of the original in any form. I would go so far as to put Take The Leap into my top three Toyah albums hit list (the others being Anthem and Love Is The Law in case anyone is interested !!!)
