Greetings! Anthem is a fantastic album. The cd has 4 bonus tracks that should be noted. a) Revelations b) War Boys c) Angels & Demons d) Thunder in the Mountains. I found this as an import in Hollywood, CA a couple of years ago. I would assume you all could find it in the UK easier than I did here in California.

I have been told that the Anthem CD is still available in France. (Lemme know if it's true!)

I would also like a copy of Anthem. It is the only album I know, but still one of the all time classics. But to find it seems about as manageable as having the 2004 Olympics in Cape Town To Frisco Kids: those four songs seem to come from a mini album released called "4 from Toyah"

This is where Toyah begins to realise her "Pop" intentions. This album has the misfortune of having the worst song Toyah ever recorded on it. The dreadful "It's a mystery" and the barely passable "I want to be free" but she has not forgotten where she came from as shown by the perfect Siouxsie influenced "Obsolete" and the great "Demolition men". This is also where Toyah starts making beautiful songs such as the stunning "I am" and "Jungles of Jupiter". I myself am searching for a CD copy. UGGH!! Scott Davies 5/30/97

I have this album on vinyl. I think it's very inconsistent compared to "Sheep Farming" and "Blue Meaning". What's the Anthem here anyway?

I have been trying to get a copy of Anthem on CD for years. Nobody in Australia knows Toyah!!! Please help if you can in finding me a place to buy this CD.

Yes, it is (or rather, it was) - a friend of mine had the foresight to buy it when it was released. I tried to buy it from him recently, but was told to bugger off. Not surprisngly.

"I am" is one of the best songs Toyah ever wrote. "Obsolete" and "Jungles of Jupiter" are also brilliant

I`v got this album on tape and have played it so many times that the thing has nearly worn out. What can I say but it is just the best album in the world. I would like it on CD but have had no luck in the past five years, Maybe soon. If anyone hears of anywhere in the world that you can get hold of it please contact me.

you'd think that with all the interest in Anthem on cd Safari would release it again. I mean, you can't tell me that the still available Prostitute is outselling what Anthem would! I had a copy of Anthem on CD and had to sell it at one point where it passed through two other friends until vanishing into obscurity and have been kicking myself ever since. Toyah came to me through an English girl in high school and am interested if any of you can trace your interest in Toyah through Julia Warren, Kent Butler, Eric Riley, Chris loney, James Dukes, Michael Rhysling (Martella), Derek Scott, or Chuck Gravel. The best album ever made. No doubt I could write a book about how great it is, but I simply want to mention that each song that has been released in 1981 - about 28 songs - is just great. A wonderful period in Toyah's songwriting and her voice sounds comletely perfect.

I have to say that 'I want to be free' must be the worst Toyah song released. Toyah's done some great things but mention Toyah to anybody and THIS is what they remember. I think that song did more damage to Toyah's credible musical career than 'It's a mystery' which isn't too bad. 'Anthem' is a keyboard heavy album which has its good moments (Jungles of Jupiter) but the follow up 'The Changeling' was better.

Yehh yehh This was Toyahs most sucsessful album.. but to be honest it marks the point where Toyah sold out. It is just so comercial. I think most of the tracks on this album are nice pop songs but that is about it. I AM and Obsolete are the best offerings on this album, If only the rest of the album was half as good!

I ve looking for the Anthem CD and Changeling CD about over 10 year, but i cant find it anywhere in Germany. Its the most famous female artist in the new age music in space and time.

Anthem and The Changeling. Both available in the UK on CD. Both have extra tracks (and a video when used on a PC.)

Without a shadow of doubt one of the best albums I have every had the pleasure of listening to.

Well this is one of the classic Toyah albums and with out doubt one of the best. They just don''t make album covers like that anymore! Full of real fantastic tracks. Brilliant.

This album effectively launched Toyah`s music career.Reached number 2 in the UK charts, and was in charts for46 weeks.

You're in luck guys! Anthem has just been rereleased on CD with bonus tracks (Warboys among them). I found the site yesterday but can't remember it's name. Try going through Google and Amazon.
