Comments for Toyah, Phoenix

E-MAIL: toyah_shadow@yahoo.com
Toyah, herself actually had NOTHING to do with this release. I interviewed ethereal diva TACYE earlier this year (exclusively for "Toyah's Shadow" fanzine) and found out all the gen! Please see Toyah's Shadow Issue 2 for further details. Suffice to say this CD and the bonus track is the closest you'll get to the unreleased follow up album "Eternity". The track "Phoenix" was originally recorded at the Dreamchild sessions but didn't make it on to the "Dreamchild" album. It was then to appear on "Eternity" which was never released.

I really hate drum machines. Some songs are interesting; others and excuse for bombastic tape loops. What would motivate someone to listen to this multiple times? "Now and Then"? "Phoenix"? Those aren't bad. My dream team: Toyah and Fripp record with the Roches.

Was never very keen on dreamchild, the added Pheonix track didn''t jusitfy a re issue or a not very good album cover
Obviously no new album, just another release of the `Dreamchild` album with the additional song `Phoenix`, an 8.26 min ambient dance track and a new cover with a picture of Toyah probably from the early 80`s.
