Comments for Triumph, Edge of Excess

Yo zephyr, give the band some credit! Even without Emmett, who I agree was the main reason to listen to Triumph back then, they still kick the ass of most other hard-rock pretenders out there. I personally like cut #7 "Black Sheep" (probably cause I am one, ha). Triumph fans, buy this album!

Well, I really like this album. My pussy used to get wet listening to Rick Emmet sing, but these guys are scorchin''. The copy I found was a cut-out CD for $5 in the local Goodys, so keep your eyes open, rockheads.
The reformation of Triumph excludes the bands most talentedmember, Rik Emmett. New guitarist Phil X is competent, buthe`s no comparison to Emmett. The album tries real hard torecapture the old glory, without much success. A few trackscut the mustard, however. "Troublemaker" is actually reminiscentof former pyrotechnics, and "Love In a Minute" really rocks!
