Comments for Ultravox, Rare - Volume 1

Rare Vol 1 brings together the B-side recordings from the first Ten singles from the Midge Ure era. To be honest some tracks are quite obviously B-side fodder, but not many. Real Gems in this collection include Waiting and probably the best non single "Passionate Reply" the B-side to Vienna. Several of the tracks are also hit singles, all be it live versions of them. It is a release that only an Ultravox fan would fully appreciate but I would not put off a non fan from buying it as most of the material is album quality.

The B-Sides. Ultravox (the Midge Ure, Billy Curry,Chris Cross and Warren Cann version) had a habit of putting unreleased songs on the b-side of their singles. This CD brings all of them together in one place - finally.
