Comments for Utopia, POVE-MAIL: howen@medmail.mcg.edu E-MAIL: howen@medmail.mcg.edu This has been near impossible to find on CD, but Rhino is re-releasing it along with another Utopia CD, "Oblivion", on April 9th, 1996. Spread the word. Email me for any additional info. Harold OwenE-MAIL: wonchoba@t1.chem.umn.edi POV is a cleaner sounding album than its predecessor, the techno influenced OBLIVION. However, I don't think it is quite as good overall. The featured single (which was not successful) was "Play This Game", and it's actually one of the weaker tracks on the album. The highlight of the album, and, in fact, one of the highlights of the band's entire career, is the absolutely outstanding "More Light", which alone makes the album a must have for Utopia/TR fans. The song features the typically outstanding vocals of Kasim Sulton. "Mimi Gets Mad", "Man Of Action", and "Wildlife" are also decent songs. Also worth noting is "Zen Machine", which is actually performed much better live on the REDUX 92 album. A good album, but not great. Get it for "More Light" though!E-MAIL: foxinsocks98@hotmail.com E-MAIL: foxinsocks98@hotmail.com I am an 18 year old girl from Virginia who grew up listening to Todd Rundgren and Utopia. And after listening to every album by Utopia and Todd that was ever put out, I must say that my favorite of all time would have to be POV. Hands down. I still listen to it alll the time, and consider it my favorite album of all time. Just on a silly personal note, As a very young child, I believed that Todd was my Grandfather and that I was going to marry Kasim Sulton! Utopia features Roger Powell & Todd Rundgren. POV isa pretty decent album. If you like Todd, I`d suggestpicking this one up (But if you like Todd, you probablyalready have it :)Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
