This has been very hard to find on CD, but on April 9th, 1996 Rhino will re-release this along with "POV". Email me with any questions. Harold Owen

Utopia goes techno with this release. It's certainly a far cry from ANOTHER LIVE or RA. Still, it's very mainstream, and it includes "Crybaby", which REALLY should have been a hit single. Too bad it never caught. You don't get much more accessible than that song. Other highlights are "Maybe I Could Change" and "I Will Wait", featuring one of Kasim's best ever vocal performances for a ballad. The second half of the album is MUCH better than the first. The album gets the 'techno' designation due to songs like "Love With A Thinker" and "Itch In My Brain", which are okay songs, but they sound a little synthetic. "Welcome To My Revolution" is the album's weakest track, and is out of place on the otherwise high-quality second side of this album. OBLIVION was finally re-relased on CD in a package along with POV and the two original songs from TRIVIA. "Crybaby" and "I Will Wait" give strong support to this very stylistically polar album.
