Finally the real Bladerunner soundtrack (not all music out of the movie?) Fantastic, relaxing ambient sounds, great for fans or for some one who wants to listen to some inventive and emotive music my favorite track is memories of green especially the backround effect that seem to so well compliement the piano (allthough Vangelis did not engineer these).

"Blade Runner" is my favourite movie since I´ve seen it for the first time in 1982. After the long time of waiting for the REAL soundtrack to come out I was very happy about this release. To let the actors´voices included was a good idea. One question: the text of Roy Batty in his dying scene was shortened for the words "time to die". Why ? I miss this last pathetic topic of his fantastic monolog. It sends shivers down my spine every time. To speak with the words of ABBA."Thank you for the music!"

Bladerunner is a truly classic film, the one thing that makes the film even better is the soundtrack by Vangelis. When the film first came out i seached hi and lo for the origanal soundtrack but could only find the one done by London symphony orchestra. The soundtrack did'nt have the same feel as the one on the actual film, so i was very disapointed. You can imagine my delight as i was on holiday in turkey i poped into a record store and found the origanal version, i couldn't get back to the hotel quick enough to play it.

Probably the best film ever made, Blade Runner is helped along by a fine soundtrack.

The "Memories of Green" song is probably one of the most melancholy, saddest, yet best songs I have ever heard. They play this song in the movie when Deckard reveals to Rachael that she is a replicant, then he regrets it as she starts to cry. The piano in this song reminds me of regretful tears that didn't need to fall, probably because of Rachael crying when I first heard the song. I think the emotive nature of the Vangelis soundtrack complements the film very well. The whole point to the movie was how emotions shape our lives and how, without them, we are no longer human. The main change "Blade Runner" made over the book it was based on was making the replicants have a greater emotional response than humans. I wrote a paper on this contrast, if any of you are interested...
