Comments for Belew, Adrian, Desire Of The Rhino King

E-MAIL: Rosen Elyse
I only wish I could purchase all three cd's seperately. Lone Rhino and Twang Bar King are the only albums that I kept out of a collection of about 150 when I changed over to cd. Desire Caught By The Tail proves that Adrian is in a league all to himself.

A collection of my first three favorites! These are the 3 albums that hooked me on Adrian Belew. A must for your collection.

Tracks 3,4, 14, 16 are indeed the memorable highlights of those first two albums - great tracks, too. The first two LPs were not as meaningful as "Desire Caught By The Tail'' which was really a great LP. "Desire" is not summarized on here but the first two are, so the thing looks like a good deal to me & a chance to hear some interesting music. By the way, in case you didn''t know, Adrian''s guitar on "Remain In Light" & "The Name of this Band is Talking Heads" T.H. albums is exceptional too, as is his work on the 80''s King Crimson albums.
A compilation of Belew`s first three solor albums (all on Island),Adrain chooses his favorites because the clowns at Island refuse tore-release Lone Rhino (`81) and Twang Bar King (`83) but have re-relasedDesire Caught By The Table (`85) which is a not very accessable instrumentalalbum of off-the-wall abstractions. The first two albums are some ofthe most intelligent pop rock I`ve ever heard, and are sure to pleasethe most discriminating rockers and popsters. There is more guitar workon this complition than exists within entire generes of rock music.
