Comments for Wakeman, Rick, The Six Wives Of Henry VIII

In an era when swelling multi-track layering was both necessary (because ALL synths and most keyboards were monophonic) and hip, many or Wakeman''s works bordered on overkill. "Wives" doesn''t suffer quite as much as some of Wakeman''s later attempts, and in retrospect, quite refreshing. Rick''s genius and technical abilities come through without being muddled by the tape.

Sounds rather Yes-like in places, not so much so elsewhere.
