Comments for Warrior Soul, Chill Pill

....HA HA HA!!! These guys are truly one of the best bands ranking up there with another fave of mine (Savatage). Although, this is one album I could have lived without, you have to love "Shock Um Down" and "Ha Ha Ha". Enjoyable if you don't pay full price for it.

Yeah, those are my comments above and I have changed my opinion a bit. This is an album I would die without. After more listens, more and more songs grew on me such as the spacey and trance-like Soft (which is now a fave of mine), the eerie and eccentric Let Me Go, the pounding rocker I Want Some and the bizarre and out-there opening track Mars. Another fave of mine is Cargos Of Doom. This whole album is worth the money but do not judge this disc based on one listen or you'll be disappointed.

It is one of those albums that on the first listen you blow it off a little bit, but after listening to it for four years I love it, it is a truly artistic album, with some great some almost "Sabbath" like touches on guitar. Kory Clarke is obviously someone who must make music to survive, so Warrior Soul will be back, maybe under a different name, but they'll be back.

Not recommended as the essential Warrior Soul starter kit, this is nevertheless a great album. By far their most diverse and spacey it showcases a band with no limits fronted by a wonder-whacked rock and roll genius. To get a feel for the elasticity of this band, spin the awesome punk stomp gutter rage of "Shock Um Down" back to back with the meditative, melancholy, socially inciteful "Concrete Frontiers" Glorious stuff. King Kory, we await your return

The acid punk cd. It's thier most personal cd of the catalog. And, to me-the best. From the sonic fury of Mars,to the acid punk of Shock um down and ha ha ha,even to the atmospheric let me go,soft and song in your mind, the cd is the best yet.

Another great record I just found out about 5 years after it was released. Paid 8 bucks. Worth three times as much. Doesn''t sound old. Just more proof of another great band lost in the shuffle.
Not their best, but still pretty cool.
