Far and away the finest Wedding Present album; a masterpiece of melancholic noise-pop. Steve Albini, suprisingly, turns out to be the WP's ideal producer.

If you have just been dumped, had a break-up, or just a nasty row, this album just might be your salvation.

The American version has three GREAT additional songs: Niagara Dandare Fleshworld

The best mope-rock album ever! Yup, better than any thing by the Smiths, Joy Division, etc.

One of my alltime favourites. The lyrics are emotional and realistic, and the music starts out great and builds to intense climaxes in most of the songs. "Corduroy" and "Dalliance" are excellent tracks.
