Comments for Weller, Paul, Stanley Road

This continues along the lines of "Wildwood" with another strong collection of songs played with conviction. Although it''s not much of a change from his previous sound, it reassures that Weller may be making the best music of his career (or at leat the most consistent) today.

As with all of Paul Weller's stuff, - I reckon he draws inspiration from when he drops handfulls of cutlery into the utensil draw - the only problem is that he doesn't build on the clattering sound, - he simply copies it in every song - I was talking with a friend about his stuff at lunch time and came to the conclusion that he has gone downhill ever since the low performance of The Jam
