Comments for Wiedlin, Jane, Tangled

"Light entertainment," my ass. Wiedlin's three solo albums (this is the third) solidly demonstrate that she can craft pop tunes to rival anyone. As always, she's earnest and endearing and plaintive and sweet, and that's what makes it all work. For Wiedlin fans, the tracks "Rain On Me," "Paper Heart," and "99 Ways" are highlights, not just because they're solidly crafted pop tunes, but because they so perfectly reflect the artist's personality.

"Paper Heart" was probably the best track. "Euphoria" appears to be a story about the fall of the Berlin Wall and collapse of Communism in Eastern Europe. A good, solid album overall.
Okay if you want light entertainment.
