Comments for World Party, Revolution

Well, the name of the album is "Private Revolution," actually. Karl Wallinger''s at-that-point-still one-man band''s first release after his brief but brilliant work with the Waterboys. Lots of people hear Prince and the Beatles in this album; it''s true that Wallinger tends to wear his musical influences on his sleeve. But brilliantly so. Wallinger''s other influences (Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Beach Boys, Doors, I could go on) can also be heard here and especially on later albums.
