this album was so different her blew her fans out of the arenas. poor pat experimented and it went nowhere. well i still say bless her. im not into blues so i hardly ever play it but i do love that voice so its great music to put on for something different yet hauntingly familar.

This album is exceptional. Blah to those who think Pat can't sing the blues. She does so with class and intensity. Some standouts on the album are So Long, and I Get Evil.

For me this album was a incredible surprise! To hear Pat do something completely differant and have it come off like it was her "standard" really made me smile! It will get you jumping and moving to the beat as she belts out the blues like an old pro. It has become a part of my regular listening pleasures.

I love this album, and I'm a blues and Jazz fan. It can really pull me out of a bad mood. Bless her, for always something new.

What a gas! This album was way ahead of it''s time - which is odd considering it features mostly old blues songs. Pat and crew are having a good time and it shows. the originals fit right in with the covers and vocally it is astonishing - listen to "Evening", "True Love" and "I Got Papers On You". Hopefully the new interest in swing music will find people rediscovering this album. Bootlegs from the supporting tour feature more songs that I wish would have been included on the album like - "Help me" "Town Without Pity" and "Bad Luck Soul" Maybe a part 2 could be in the future?
