Comments for Young, Neil, Broken Arrow

Big Time is the standout track, some other gems and some good, chunky guitar playing throughout the first half make this album a winner. Bad production on the last track however, and a lack of diversity make it seem a little watered down next to some albums like Sleeps With Angels, to name a recent highlight.

"Broken Arrow" is another set of chunky rockers mixed with more quiet country-type songs. Except for the horrible production of "Baby, What You Want Me to Do," which should have been a classic, this album is another winner.

This album was not quite as good as some of Neil's newer releases, though is still a fairly decent album. A little on the short side, with just 8 songs, 1 being a live cover of an old Jimmy Reed song, and a few short songs with not much to say. A few near classics though, with Big Time and Music Arcade, and Slip Away is fairly good as well.

One of Crazy Horse's best albums. A true classic. Lyrically poetic and enchanting. It's Neil Young doing things his way; this is evident in the many lengthy jams on the album. The last track gives the smokey bar room atmosphere, true to Neil's roots. Many standouts, my favorites include: Big Time, Loose Change, and Music Arcade...thanks neil

Definitely one of my favorite NY albums...Loose Change and especially Slip Away blow me away! I really like the live version of Slip Away on Year of the Horse...if you have not heard this version, go get the album!

Thanks Neil for this great album. Neil at his best in the 90's Better than Sleeps with Angels.

Music Arcade this is one of my favorite Neil Young songs. I think Neil''s personality really comes out in the lyrics, "I was walking down main street, not the sidewalk, but main street." I always picture Neil doing this as he sings it and it always brings a smile to my face.
