Comments for Young, Neil, Hawks & Doves

I have been searching without success for "Hawks and Doves" and "Re*act*tor", can anyone lend a hand to old NY fan.

I would to be able to find Hawks & Doves and Reactor on CD. Does anyone know if they will every be re-released?

I have both Hawks and Doves and Reactor on cassette. I bought them when they first came out in 1980 and 1981. I am a long time Neil Ypung fan.

This is a fun album. The songs still sing about some real relevant issues. The workin man is in for a hell of a fight cause the fences are still are comin apart at every nail. I especially liked the first couple of songs. Little wing sings to me and tells a story, from what I hear, what Neil thought about the record industry and the challenges he had. Union man is one of my favourites. "This meeting will now come to order...Live Music is better bumper stickers should be issued! All those in favour signify by saying yah!" I am not sure if NEIL is making a mockery of unions or is sympathetic towards them. He has sometimes been hard to pin down on the politics coming from his lyrics yet other times is quite clear about his opinion. Sometimes never preaching but always seems to make you think about the issue from several perspectives.

Was Neil prophetic or what... Comin Apart at Every Nail lyrics.. A big light flashed accross the sky,, something else went slippin' by...Meanwhile at the Pentagon, The brass was a wonderin' what went wrong... WOWEE KAZAWEE

I consider "Hawks And Doves" just as enjoyable as any of Neil Youngs albums. I am a die-hard fan of his and I enjoy just about anything he's done. Songs like "Stayin' Power" and the title track are breathtaking! *Ron Haynes, Jr. Age: 26

as far as i can tell Hawks and Doves is not available on CD ....kind of ridiculous, really.... a good and kind friend just gave me the LP ...sadly my turntable is out of order, still and WHAT THE HELL!!!! here's a neil album i've NEVER heard and I CAN'T!!!!! it's not like i'm looking for some obscure EP of my cousin's garage band...this is NEIL, SOMEONE WITH POWER FIX THIS NOW!!!!! i suspect the music is good,..... BUMPER STICKERS SHOULD BE ISSUED!!!!

This one is as good as Harvest, if so just listen to quality songs as "Lost in Space", "little Wing", "Capitain Kennedy". And there's not one definite weak link in the Cd. A good buy, for sure
