Comments for ZZ Top, Tres Hombres

ZZ Top's best album. The only problem with this CD is that when it was translated from vinyl to CD, they "remastered" it. All of Frank beard's drumming now comes with a heavy dose of reverb and echo-chamber effects. Had a much cleaner, honest, Rock 'n Roll sound on vinyl. Still a great CD, though.

Does anyone know if the Little Ol'' knuckleheads from Texas are ever going to re-issue the original versions of Tres Hombres, Fandango and Tejas. These "remastered" - more like "re-recorded and re-mixed" CD''s are pathetic. C''mon guys - release the original mixes. Have you no pride in your original work?

Just got a CD copy. Rubbish!!. What the fuck has happened to the drums!!. When I had this on cassette, years ago, the raw drum sound was one of the vital elements to the sound of these records. What can I say, the CD's going back, I'll try & find a record!.
