Comments for Sixpence None the Richer, This Beautiful Mess

This is one of the best "alternative" rock CD's I've ever heard! Leigh Bingham's voice is absolutely terrific!!! And Matt's songwriting on this albums is fantastic! Truly, "This Beautiful Mess" is beautiful, but it's far from being a mess! I don't think there's a bad song on this whole release! Definately a classic!!!

"Thought Menagerie" is not a good song. All of the rest are outstanding.

A truly beautiful and moody album. What's wrong with "Thought Menagerie"? I love all of the songs. The lyrics are a bit vague, but allow some self-interpretation.

This album is art and genius at the same time. If anything Thought Menagerie is one of the best songs on the album. On top of that, this band is 50% better live. They truly amaze me.

TBM is a wonderful album. One of my favorite sixpence songs has to be the song penned by Tess Wiley called Disconnect.
The second album for the Austin based band is bigger and better than the first album "Fatherless and the Widow". The expansion on the band from two (Matt Slocum: Guitar, Leah Bingham: Vocals) to a full quintet( Tess Wiley:Guitar, Vocals Dale Baker: Drums and J J Plasenic: bass). The group has left the so called 1,000 maniacs sound for a hard more alernative sound. the lyrics are dark and tough provoking and makes you think about your life. This Sophmore album should not stay on the shelves, but be in your CD played.
