Comments for Ronstadt, Linda, Simple Dreams

I find this a very fine, and if anything, underrated album. It was one of Linda's most eclectic albums, as witnessed by covers of everyone from Roy Orbison to the Stones. Linda's version of "I Never Will Marry" (harmony by Dolly Parton) is the best version of this traditional country chestnut that I have heard.

This is one her best albums of the 70s. Her voice is very strong, and the tracks show depth to her voice and interpretive skills. I particularly like "Carmelita" and "Blue Bayou".

Great classic rock interpretation and another great album cover from Linda. For an artist to hit an album on the mark right after a huge selling success, such as "Heart Like a Wheel" can be difficult but "Prisoner" expemlifies artistic progression. I especially like "Hey Mister that''s Me above the Jukebox" and "Tracks."
