Comments for Ronstadt, Linda, Prisoner In Disguise

Her version of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" (although not as definitive as Parton's own, first, rendition) far surpasses Whitney Houston's excruciating travesty. Other good cuts are the title song, "Many Rivers To Cross" and, rock critics be dammned, "The Tracks of My Tears". This album is from her heyday and is one of her best.

If this album did not have the misfortune to follow "Heart Like a Wheel", it may have been considered Linda's best. As it is, it remains a classic, and the title track is particularly good, and actually surpasses many of Linda's better known hits in quality.

Her duet w/Emmylou on "The Sweetest Gift" is breathtaking.
Great album by Linda Ronstadt with some beautiful songs. I find it her best album ever!
