Comments for Wehrmacht, Shark Attack

When people hear the name Wehrmacht (pronounced VARE-MOCKT and meaning "war machine") many picture its entity as a Nazi skin band. Actually, the opposite is true. Instead of being driven by racism the group seemed to be fueled by beer or other various types of alcohol and proudly stated, "We are not fascist." Formed in Portland, Oregon back in 1985, the quintet strived on being the fastest band in speed metal and were frequently labeled as speed-core, or as I like to call them: beer-core. They had the uncanny ability to mix hard-core, punk, metal and of course…beer! After releasing two underrated records, Shark Attack and Biermacht (the latter being a great masterpiece), the band split up. Drummer Brian Lehfeldt went on to play with another speed-core band called Cryptic Slaughter and then sang for the now defunct "goofy funk band," Sweaty Nipples. Wehrmacht is missed greatly. Hey, when`s the Spazztic Blurr reunion tour?
this is good

Marco Sharko one of the two guitarist wrote most of the material that Wehrmacht played. To this day I have yet to here another guitarist sound anything like his style. Melodic speed metal of the finest quality and originality and it was ahead of its time, to say the least.
SPAZZTIC BLURR The best band of the 80's. No band could touch theses guys and their music was a mix of all different styles rolled into one awsome band. I wish there was some tour or reunion show info on this band.
