Comments for Big Sugar, El Seven Nite Club featuring Big Sugar with Guest Vocalists

This album really is loud and anoying on my ears, maybe it''s not my type of trash music. So in my opinion is that this album really SUCKS.

Perhaps the best album put out by the band. It was recorded live at the Rivoliin Toronto on February 1,2 and 3, 1993 when Big Sugar was the house band there. The album as a wholestands out as one of the best collaborations by local Toronto musicians to benefitpeople living with HIV. Its Jazzy and Bluesy to the core, with some songs that are guaranteed to bringyou to tears. Lee Aaron`s In the Dark breaks my heart everytime I hear it, andthe band`s rendition of In My Time of Dying is perhaps their best song ever. They almost never play itin concert, but when they do it is certainly one of those experiences that makes you thank God you`re aliveif for nothing else, to witness Gordie at that moment.Granted, the band was in that transitional period between their debut and 500 pounds, so it isn`tthe Big Sugar we know and love now, but its still Gordie at his all time best.
