You've gotta appreciate the effort it takes to make an album of a single man taking on the role of an entire band.

Just saw Self live..full of energy and very close to the sound on the album. Great experience to accompany a great album

I bought Subliminal Plastic Motives about 5 months ago for a friend and for the last 5 months I've been kicking myself for not keeping it!! I finally had enough money to go get my own copy and now I won't let it out of my sight! WHAT A KICK ASS ALBUM!!

This album deserves at least an 8 for successful meshing 3 or 4 different styles of modern pop music together. Whether you like to listen to modern rock, hip-hop, jazz grooves, or dance music, you'll enjoy this alternative music album. Just the fact that one guy in his early 20s did most of the work on this album was enough to convince me to buy it. The most popular singles off the album were "Cannon" & "So Low".

IM VERY DISAPOINTED THAT NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVE HERD FROM THEM WHERE I LIVE I GUESS THEY JUST GOT OLD TO SOME PEOPLE BUT TO ME THEY ARE STILL #1. Good alternative album with some hip-hop beats mixed in with it.Self is actually a group, but was orginally recorded and mixed by just two people. Cannon and Borateen are being playedon national radio.
