Comments for Lilys, Better Can't Make Your Life BetterE-MAIL: sumby@injersey.com Like a rockin'er version of Ecsame, still pothead music.I heard it was supposed to be very Kinksish. I hear more Beach Boys ala Pet Sounds, with touches of Monkees. There's also something VERY jazzy about this whole thing.Even when it rocks,..the vocals wrap around themselves in this weird unpredictable fashion. And I love every moment of it. Highly Reccomended!E-MAIL: guyute1214@aol.com This album is very different from anything you would expect from the Lilys. When I listen to it, I hear a combination of Kinks, Beatles, and the Who. I would recommend this to anyone.E-MAIL: DTD0023@AOL.COM Similiar in anachronistic defiance to what the Elephant No.6. gang (see Apples in Stereo/Olivia Tremor) are doing, this sounds like music from some alternate late-60''s. More hooks than a fisherman''s hat. Definite similarities to Brian Wilson, a little Schoolboys in Disgrace-era Kinks, Monkees, and many others. The track "the tennis system" is simply amazing...
