If you find a special version of this (which I have only seen on tape) instead of The Warning there is the song Evil Woman. This song was their first single and in my opinion one of their best blues song.

If you're looking for the quintessential Sabbath album, look no furthur. The perfect marriage of hard,gothic-flavored blues, and mystical lyrics, this is one of the best records I' ve ever heard, and without the muddy bass mix of"Paranoid." The " Abbey Road " of metal.

This is the American release of the first Sabs LP. The UK/Europe version included Evil Woman instead of Wicked World, which was the B-side of one of their first singles and is available on We Sold Our Souls for Rock and Roll.

This is a fine debut from Black Sabbath, and contains the prototype of the sound they would refine over the next few records. Elsewhere, they do some fairly standard 1970''s bluesy rock. The beginning of this album is one of the greatest album openers ever, truly the musical equivilent of a Hammer horror movie!

Awesome debut album. Arguably one of the first metal albums. Why such a low average rating (6.9/10.0)??? Dopes....
