Fly is a band that you should check out. They rock, plain and simple. Kind of like 311 but better.

Fly Spinach Fly is one of the coolest bands going if you do not already have this album buy it.

This band was a legend in the New Hampshire / seacoast area. Its hard to believe they have been together since 1990. Sadly they have gone on to do other things. But check out the "minds of minolta" which is a solo project that Chris, bassist, has been putting together. I've tried to get him to do a song "feel the lizard" i've had stuck in my head for months now, but he probably wont...

Beastie Boys meets Bosstones at an AA meeting!

It may sound impossible but a great hardcore band can come from N.H. Fly Spinach Fly was a band that put on a fantastic live show that i would say is compable to the beasties. Having seen about six shows myself, i can say that the energy these guys put out was almost sickening (but thats what made the show good) FSF opened for bands like the Ramones, Cypress Hill, BDP and fishbone. The first track on Classical Fear Conditioning, as far as i can tell, is co-written by White Zombie. To get a copy of this must have cd you need to try stores from thier area. Here is a sort list of places i know of: Main st music Durham, NH Bull Moose music Portsmouth, NH Rock Bottom Records Portsmouth, NH Also try Newbury comics Boston/cambridge Mystry Train Records Cambridge, MA If you like the beasties bosstone chili peppers korn RATM 311 sublime infectious grooves get this disk.

I got their CD like 5 years ago from my dad. Hilarious! I mean really! The guitar is good, but what is up with the brass section???!
did i mention don't buy this cd??
Rap-metal band with horns! Sounds like Beastie Boysbut louder.

These guys put on an insanely good show. It's just too bad they're not together anymore. What ever happened to the lead singer, was his name Jon? Anyway, that guy had more spunk...

Yeah, the CD still sucks.

I was so sad to hear that this HUGELY influential band broke up. I was a big fan and attended at least 80 shows, at the Elvis Room, UNH, The Stone Church, etc. These guys have opened for big time acts like Fishbone, Queen Latifah, Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Bone Thugs (so I have heard), and even the now defunct BLIND JUSTICE!!! I was even so blessed as to have my picture on their cd!!! I have to say these guys are a huge influence on my playing and my band, Hypersleep. I would like to thank the band, as I knew them, Jon McCormick, Bill Xydias, Chris Hall, Mark Paquin, Paul Nedeau, Thom Arno (I know your secret!!!) and of course the backbone Dan "Colorado" McGary. Thanks for the killer shows and inspiration. I hope someday you guys reunite!!! Rock on. Big Black Mikey ibanez@metrocast.net www.hypersleep.tv

Classical Fear Conditioning has been, and will always be my favorite album. Insatiable - all time favorite song! Guys the Stone Church may be closed, but there are plenty of venues that would love to have you in for a reunion concert!! Get back together!!

Man, I STILL wish we would've recorded "The Drink is Mine". Talk about riling up the crowd. Also, "Friend of Mine" produced its share of incidents... especially the part right after the salsa section where the guitar and drums got heavy and Bill X and Tom Arno rapped in unison. There would always be some football player or huge frat guy in the crowd who'd seize the moment trying to prove how tough they were by jumping off a speaker or knocking down the entire mosh pit. We used to take bets on it. It was classic.

Fly was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I saw these guys about 6 million times. I was actually dubbed Suicidal Dave for a while by the guys of the band. I am still and will always be one thier biggest fans. I actually found a unopened 8 track they made of Poor Mans Picasso. So sweet.
