Although this album remains as the group's biggest selling studio album in the U.S., it is not one of their best.

This album reintroduced Slade to a whole new generation of rockers. A great album, but not quite up to Slade perfection.

I became familiar with Slade in 1984 with the release of Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply. I was outdoors and came inside when I heard Run Run Away playing on MTV. I've been hooked ever since and have managed to get my hands on most of their work. But it was Power Supply that won me over.

Slade can and usually will be classed as a Seventies band by the general public, that I accept. This album not only represents their most commercially successful record of the 80''s it also shows them getting an 80''s sound. The late seventies no direction of ''Return to Base'' and the enjoyable ''WBTHD'' was firmly put behind them with this widely accepted album by the music buying public of the time. From classroom to workplace Slade music was a normal occurrence on radio and TV, all thanks to this groundbreaking record. To put it in context another "Till Deaf Do Us Part" record with it''s ''eavy Metal leanings would have seen Slade disappear without trace bar the odd inclusion within heavy metal magazine circles.
Slade is a British power rock group that has been around since the 1960`s, and has been on many major labels. Unfortunately, this is the only Slade title left in the catalog. Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply was near the next to last album that Slade made for CBS. The early-mid 1980`s effort is competent, and offers power rock with fiddles on the US top-20 hit "Run Runaway."
