Comments for Slade, Stomp Your Hands, Clap Your Feet

Another fine album from the lads. Indeed it was the first album to feature young Jimmy on lead vocals, something he didn''t do again until ''The Amazing Kamikaze Sydrome'' on the song ''Ready to Explode. The Dream''. He also took lead vocal on the ''Roaring Silence'' which was part of ''Still the Same'' 25th Anniversary double pack. As for this album it''s the american release of ''Old, New, Borrowed and Blue.'' I''am very pleased to have a signed copy of this album which I was able to show Don Powell to confirm its authenticity. I rate this album 8/10.

This was released in the UK and Europe as 'Old new borrowed and blue' and was a monster hit everywhere, except the USA, where it was released under this name. Only two bad songs My town (scratched from the US release)and Find yourself a rainbow.
All songs written by James Lea and Noddy Holder except "Just Want A Little Bit". Produced by Chas Chandler. As far as I know, this album contains the only Slade song to feature lead vocals by someone other than Noddy Holder. "When The Lights Are Out" was sung by bassist James Lea. From 1972 through 1976 Slade released a whole slew of great rock albums. Stomp Your Hands, Clap Your Feet is one of the best.
