The song "The Summer Song " can be found on The Story Of Slade, a 2-cd best of collection containing songs from the golden age of Slade.

The 1991 Polydor CD version of this album includes "Summer Song" and "Heaven Knows", tracks not included on the Warner Brothers Album.

Produced by Chas Chandler. All songs written by Lea and Holder. Supposedly, the film "Flame", starring Slade as a mythical band, is worth viewing. I haven`t seen it, but the soundtrack is great. Unfortunately, one of the best tunes from the film is not on the soundtrack. It is however, on one of Slade`s many compilation cds.

Classic English Rock and proof that Slade are up there with the best in the world and certainly influenced many of the top acts around today. You only have to look at some of the big names who have been support acts for Slade ie: Aerosmith, Status Quo, Kiss, Ozzy Ozbourne and many more.
