Comments for Hall and Oates, Big Bam Boom

This represents the worst of H&O. It still beats many albums by far...

"Big Bam Boom" is not one of their best (it''s better than the awful "ooh yeah!"), but it has been reissued on CD.
Big Bam Boom represents Hall and Oates` last big album of the 1980`s. It stood at Number One on the albums chart for a succession of weeks, and it produced a Number One hit in "Out Of Touch," as well as a Number 5 hit in "Method Of Modern Love," which contains a stupid yet catchy chorus. As usual for a Hall and Oates album, once you get out of the hits, there is filler. Big Bam Boom still works, though, because Hall and Oates have that chemistry that they would lose during their hiatus to come. However, it is also the first of the RCA CD releases to fall out of print.
