Comments for Mecano, Descanso Dominical

This was the first Mecano album that I heard while living in Spain, and the Cano brothers and Ana Torroja are incredible musicians. I currently own a concert video of their''s in both VSH and Pal formats. Their other albums, especially AIDALAI, are also excellent. This album contains songs in a variety of pop music styles: dance, ballad, anthem, blues, and some that are unclassifiable. "Laika" is about the first dog in space (truly!). "Heroes de la Antartida" is about the tragic Scott expedition to the South Pole.
