Comments for Scaggs, Boz, Silk Degrees

'Silk Degrees' is truly a classic piece of work by Boz Scaggs. The artist triumphs in the collage of music genres he fuses in the different tracks he has arranged. Mr. Scaggs is terribly underappreciated by the critics and music lovers everywhere. However, the rhythms and harmonies of 'Silk Degrees' are reminiscent of a bygone era whose zest for life continues on. The artist's distinct voice is a one-of-a-kind. No one else comes close to singing in a similar tone and depth, nor with the versatility. This is one of my favorite albums of all time. If CDs wear out, this one of mine surely will do so very soon. Congratulations to Mr. Scaggs on a masterful work that has provided me with countless hours of enjoyment. Thanks, Don Naegele

This was one of my favorite albums in the ''70s. Listening to it recently, I thought it sounded a little dated, influenced too much by disco. Still there is some great stuff here.
