Comments for Warrant, Ultraphobic

E-MAIL: bjg3082@falcon.tamucc.edu
On the first album, Jani wanted to get laid and be rich. On the second, Jani was rich and getting laid. On the third, Jani was in love with Bobbi. Now, on Ultraphobic, she ditched him and Jani is pissed. What a great album from a great band.

The more I listen to it, the more I like "Ride #2." (Forgive me for sounding like Larry King.) It''s not so much the musical quality of the song that appeals to me; actually, it has a sort of thin sound, and the tempo needs to have been speeded up just a bit--until that last part... No, this song is a celebration of freedom and lack of responsibility that while perhaps being a bit immature, sum up the rock-and-roll mentality to a tee. Pop in this tape the next time you''re driving on a "warm clear Southern night." And enjoy the ride.
Arguably the strongest and most consistent Warrant album,Ultraphobic boasts catchy melodies, crunchy guitars, and anewfound anger in Jani Lane`s lyrics. Also of note is the replacement of guitarist Joey Allen and drummer Steven Sweet by former Kingdom Come Members Rick Seteier and JamesKottak, respectively, and the official addition of key-boardist David White.
