A truly great, kick-ass heavy metal album. "Dominance and Submission" is pure evil. This album shows the personality that BOC had developed and would carry with them through later albums. "Astronomy" shows up redone later on Imaginos, as does "Subhuman", reworked and retitled as "Blue Oyster Cult".

Essential BOC for the knowledgable listener. Blue Oyster Cult was born wearing Luftwaffe greatcoats and performing songs like ME262 and Dominance and Submission (the quintessential BOC tune). If it weren't for the BOC of the Secret Treaties era, most of today's so-called heavy metal bands (you know, the ones that growl the lyrics and have 85 guys playing guitar with a chainsaw) would still be in the garage.
