Comments for Ghost of an American Airman, Skin

E-MAIL: mic1@barbarella57.freeserve.co.uk
This album, subsequently the last from the band, shows a lot of influences. The writing is stronger but the song "COUNTRY" will always be hard to match the brilliant SILVERMAN. Trying to keep their roots the band were always going to show how easily they were influenced by the trawler of American music. The only real comment i can make is it is a pity that the world did not take notice of the hardest working band ever and their music will only be remembered by the very few that were priviliged to see them in the small venues in Belfast. My only wish is this; hey guys, u lot r the business. U stod out amongst all the shit in this place. U gave everyone who heard your music (David Essex included) a hell of a lot to think about. Fuck your musical differences. U lot will only play the greatest music when YOU ARE ALL TOGETHER. Hey to quote u " U CAN''T EVEN TELL IF ITS RIGHT OR IF ITS WRONG". Fucking wise up and give all your real fans a concert we WONT forget.

Skin is the one of the best albums I've listen to. Dodge, Matt, Benny and Alan are at their best on this album. Their cover of Wichita Lineman is one of the best tracks I have ever heard and the words of Country, to one who 'comes from where I live', explains just what crap is going on here. Late Great World Collapse is another track that just blows your mind away, hell the whole bloody album is out of this world To any real, true, loyal fan, this album is must have in their collection. Although I know that they probably will never get back together again, I wish they would. Just one more night in the Errigle Inn please lads! Go out on a high instead of just slipping into the night without a word. Everyone back home misses all the great nights in the top room at the Errigle Inn, please, please come home.

I love this album. It was incredibly hard tracking down information on this band even on the Internet. No one sells this album anymore. What a shame! If anyone from this band ever reads this...you guys rock! I will always listen to your album and enjoy it. Joel

Saw these guys on theit tour in Germany in Dortmund (Live Station). Had never heard their name before and bought the CD immediately after the gig. Guys this is really great stuff fromt the beginning to the last song. I expected them to become really successful, but ... And the concert was a great performance, too. Very sad they split up. I would buy their next CD. So give yourself a kick and reunite!
