Comments for Game Theory, Lolita Nation

The thing that's amazing about Lolita Nation is the sheer range of material that Scott Miller covers. He tackles straightforward, intelligentpowerpop ("We Love You Carol And Allison", "Nothing New), mixes in experimental studio creations (the collage of tracks on side 3), and somehow makes it cohere into one incredible volume of ambitious, exploring music. This is music that endures beyond the period it was created. Although it's current out-of-print makes it a virtual rarity, it's worth the search!!!

It''s not just hype because the album''s not in print - this really is a brilliant album. It''s bursting to the gills with exciting, catchy, rhythmically intense tunes. I particularly cite "Last Day That We''re Young", "Slip", "The Waist and the Knees", and "Dripping With Looks" as amazing and unforgettable tracks. An underheard masterpiece.
An amazing pop album, very catchy, very clever, very fun...if you buy one Game Theory LP,make it this one!You know it must be good if I went to all the trouble to type in all those song titles..(and I left some off)Also highly recommended is Scott Miller`s new band "the Loud Family"`s cd called "Plants and Birds and Rocks and Things"on alias records!
