possibly the finest brit pop album of 1994

Hey! Blur! We think you're just GREAT!
E-MAIL: p.kalbermann@fs3.mbs.ac.uk
I never listen to it ! I just like Frank Sinatra !

THE BLUR ALBUM IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE WORST I'VE EVER HEARD. THEIR CONTEMPORARY STYLE IS NOT SUITED TO THE UNTUNED DAMON, THE LEAD SINGER.

I totally disagree with Mr.Bad Taste above. Parklife is the album of the 20th century. AMEN. Blur, come to Iceland. NOW.
E-MAIL: steve@lilac.demon.co.uk
An excellent album! If you ever get the chance to see them on tour, go for it.

Yep! They've done it again! Yet another EXCELLENT album from the 4 Chelsea supporters (someone has to be!) who call themselves "Blur". What can I say lads, except well done (you've got the Brit Awards to prove it!)and lets have some more! See you in London in June '95. (I think the Boo Radleys are supporting!) Any one who doesn't think they're the best - GET A LIFE - GET A MUSIC TASTE!

I think that Blur is one of the most original and creative bands in UK. It's too bad that they didn't do too well in US. Their latest album is probably the best yet. If you've never heard it before, go listen to it. Don't misjudge it just by its first single - "Boys and Girls". It might seem to you that they are into dance music, but they are not. At first I couldn't understand why they decided to make that particular song their first single. But the more I listened to the album, the more it became clear that this song was recorded solely for the album mood. It creates that special mood for the rest of the album. Favorites from "Parklife": In the End, Parklife, Tracy Jacks

This album is amazing. Just figured out how to do www. Badhead is the most beautiful song ever. Fans of English pop unite, Blur has arrived(okay well they arrived like 6 years ago, but lets not be picky)

"This is a Low" is one of my favorite songs ever. An album for all moods.

Basically the sort of record that evaporates at the pier at Dover. Not enough in the way of big hooks or enough power. No wonder the Americans don't like them. Still Damon the singer is good looking, so I suppose that's all that matters these days, although I notice that being cute hasn't caused Evan Dando to become a household name. now has it?

Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant. One of the best albums of the 90's no argument. Brilliant band 3 great albums. Great live: Mile End was abosolutly the best ever gig. If you haven't seen them. Go soon. Can't wait till the next album.
E-MAIL: NDERH20@aol.com
Blur is one of the most brilliant bands of this decade. Can't wait to see them in LA. One of the best live bands ever. They actually entertain you. Alex is phenomenal. Look out for The Great Escape, it's even better. -Gromit

They are brilliant - what more can I say? Love from La xxx.

Seemingly from out of nowhere, "Parklife" bowled over the British music scene in 1994. Based on Martin Amis's "London Fields", Parklife essentially picks off where MLIR left off; looking at contemporary England, past, present and future. There is no adequate way to describe this album; it was easily the class of 1994 and paved the way for the current (wonderful) Britpop revival. One of the half dozen albums that no record collection should be without; Parklife is solid from start to finish with the euro-trash "Girls & Boys", cockney "Parklife", James Bond inspired "To The End" and stunning "This is a Low" standing out. Buy it.

IF you still haven't gotten "Parklife", go NOW and buy it! It is definately one of the best albums i've acquired in the past year. Also, if you have a chance to see them live - don't miss it! They are bloody amazing! :)

Unfortunately I took the above mentioned advice and bought this album. I'm not prejudiced but, I'd have to say that Blur sound like a bunch of fags with recycled guitar chords and obviously more money from mummy and daddy that they know what to do with. Save your money, I've heard better English pop than Blur. Oi!

Have A Nice Day! (...everyone's very friendly...)

Blur are a wonderfully expressive, multi-talented group. Their music is exciting, fresh, and the band is INCREDIBLE in concert. The music is catchy, danceable, and stirring. I would support this group as much as possible and buy multiple copies of all albums, especially "Parklife," a winner from start to finish.

An absolutely brilliant album. My favorite of the four. One of the most diverse bands out there today. Absolutely amazing live. As for the battle of Britian, there's no comparison -- Oasis can't come close.

Blur changed majorly for the sound and feel of Parklife At first listen I was like "what the hell?" However after a few more go's I can say that there are few albums out that can measure up to the talent that Blur has shown us on this release. I cannot say that I am sorry that they have not caught on here in the Americas . I have been able to see them 3 times in concert now and I don't have to sell my soul for the tickets. Blur just keeps getting better.

I don't understant the great exit of Oasis "the Sheet"!!! Blur is a good band, goods songs, dance, happiness, funny, Blur. I don't know... NME, Melody Maker and similars: FUCK YOU!!! And the babies fans too, and the fanatics of Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Elastica, and others sheets, too. FUCK YOU! O.K.: Blur, yes... and Pulp too, but the sheet of Oasis NO! Thank you. (¿I tu, inútil de Valencia, a qué ve això de blur, blur, blur: azul?) Sorry for my english...

A really fun album, what with such mad songs as Parklife and Bank Holiday, but not without it's introspective side - This Is A Low, and To The End. Good one boys.

Why do all Blur albums have such bad ratings? Best record they ever made, or ever will make, for that matter.
