Comments for Simaryp, Skinhead Moonstomp

The very essence of true non racial skinhead/rude boy music.
The title track was made popular by The Specials including it in their live set and as the `B` side of the single "Too Much Too Young".There is a great organ solo on "Try Me Best".The cover of Roland Alfonso`s "Phoenix City" is not at all bad, but lacks sdome of the urgency of the original. The cover of Lee Hazlewood`s "These Boots ..." is brilliant!

This is one of the funkiest records I have ever heard.I first heard this in '83 when I was 14 and was astounded.Skinhead Girl has great lyrics, and Must Catch a Train is sweet soul. Old Ska/Rocksteady/Blue Beat and Reggae is oft forgotten for it's funkiness. Listen and Love
I want all you skinhead to get up on your feet. Put your braces atogether and your boots on your fet. and give me some of that old moonstomping. Are you ready ? Start stomping ! It's music, that's not for your virgin ears...
