WANTED! Pls contact me if anybody had items of this artist. Vinyl prefered.Traders also welcome. Thanks
Another William S. Burroughs` reading/music work. Consideringhe had been collaborated with a diverse group of people (BillLaswell -Material-, Bill Frisell & Wayne Horvitz -Naked City- and even Kurt Cobain and Ministry), this disc is an obvious an attempt to crossover to the hip-hop audiences (the disc was made by Burroughs and the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy). Although the idea sounds reasonably refreshing since what many Beat poets did were jazz poetry (Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac et al), but Burroughs` proses did not rhyme asin poetry and that mades it impossible to put a hardcore hip-hop beat to it. Therefore musically speaking, this disc is quite disappointing. The novety ofthis disc is kind of like the TV commercial Burroughs did for Nike. Interestingat first sight but wears thin soon after.
