Comments for Bolin, Tommy, Private EyesE-MAIL: scott_mcintosh@urmc.rochester.edu This album is often under-rated, but also often cited as "the" album that turned people on Tommy''s music. "Post Toastee" and "Bustin Out For Rosie" are unbelievable, timeless works. The album is a showcase for Tommy''s dichotomy of hard and soft textures. The Japanese lettering on the cover are, litterally, "Tomi" "Bo" and "Lin". This character "Tomi" means "Fortune", and "Bo" means "Grave", and is felt by some Japanese fans to have foreshadowed Tommy''s death. a wonderful album from a great innovative guitarist. he combinesjazz and rock styles, and creates a very solid swan song. it`s ashame so many fine guitarists have their careers cut so short.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
