Comments for Culture Club, Wake Up With the House on Fire

While the title and cover to Culture Clubs' third album are ultra fab, this is defenetly a rushed effort. In my opnion it is the worst album in the entire Culture Club/Boy George discography. It pales in comparison to its predessor Colour By Numbers.

The music has a very positive beat and I like "The War Song", "The Medal Song", and "Mistake No. 3", but I think all the songs could''ve been better.This album was a rushed a little bit and the songs should''ve been given more time to perfect. But not bad, overall.

When this was released in 1984, it recieved mixed reviews.Upon listening years later, it`s actually held up rather well.Beneath a bit overproduction, some delicious melodies lurk,waiting to spring on you. The Dive is a buried treasure.
