Comments for Amon Duul II, Yeti

This one is "heavy" with a sound reminiscent of the Who, Jefferson Airplane, & Jimi Hendrix at their loudest. I prefer their first album "Phallus Dei" which is scarier and more intricate, and their third "Dance of the Lemmings" which has a greater wealth of material. This one, in between those two, is a bit too metallic for me although there are a some good moments and riffs - I like the semi-acoustic "Cerebrus" along with "Archangels Thunderbird" as the highlights.

I didn't listen to rock music for 5 years. This album made me rethink the electric guitar and its potential for contributing worthwhile expression to human existance. Worth anyone's 15 bucks.
