My favorite BONGWATER album. Haven''t listened to it in some time, I remember it as a truly serious effort by the band. Actually soothing to hear with the lights out and your mind time, but I remember it to be soothing with the lights out and your mind on the verge of unconciousness.

This album is for anyone who has ever jumped around at four in the morning with "Black Dog" or "Back in Black" cranked to 11 on their stereo; for anyone who has ever pogoed through a Flipper concert; for Ann Magnuson fans; for devotees of rock trivia and fans of cover versions. In this double album magnum opus, Bongwater take on Johnny Cash ("There You Go"), Gary Glitter ("Rock and Roll Part 2"), Led Zepplin ("Dazed and Chinese") and others and mix it up with their own weird-ass power-chord and spoken-word noodling. Not exactly a party record, there are some definitely catchy rock anthems ("Just May Be the One", "We Did it Again"), which, depending on you taste and your opinion of joke-rock, are either interesting at worst or brilliant at best.
