hard rock?..i think not. with this album zakk transcends any particular label. 70's rock with a 90's edge.unbelievable guitar work here..and zakk's voice cuts like a knife.no madiocre tracks..they all work... and fly right at ya1!!

First of all, Zakk Wylde is the greatest guitarist today. Secondly, Mr. Gilbert doesn't have a clue as to what real music really is. He can take his rap music and shove it up his...well...since he talks out his ass, then he can take his rap and stick it back where it came from. Third, keep doing what you're doing, Zakk. We'll take care of all the bullshitters out there like Mr. Gilbert!

i think that this album, depics the true writing talent, and ability of ZAKK!!. Who goes from ozzy hard rock, to heavy Allman Bros style (P&G), to total southern layed back rock, like this man?. NO ONE!!! but zakk wylde. He's got a style all his own. The riffs are very layed back but, cutting edge. He combines a great sound with a great style. Definately an ear full of pleasure. I feel rock and roll should thank OZZY for finding him, and thank him for being an insperation to guitarist everywhere!!!!. My hat is forever off to you MR.Wylde!!! I think this album was very deep and may be reffering to some of his life. It was very good indeed; a work of art in music. It may not have been heavy metal, per say, but it is one of the best pieces of I've ever owned.

I got to see the Book of Shadows gig in Chicago. It was great! Zakk Wylde is an extremely talented artist. He bears his soul in his songwriting, and his performance "leaves you with nothing to say."

This album rules so much.... Only one bad post out of 10 or so good ones. and that one was from a random idiot that must have stumbled on this page by accident!. Keep up the good suff zakk!! BTW, Love BLS as much as his solo stuff no matter what people say.
