G. Whilliker`s Six-String Band is Gary Saylin`s debut self- titled album release on cassette. This self-titled cassette includes 4 original vocals and 7 original instrumentals. The vocal highlights include "Miracle Mile," an ode to lost dreams in Los Angeles" and the the African tinged guitar "Everybody Needs Love." The instrumentals includes Gary`s signature instrumental, "Carol`s Baroque," which is also available on his mini-album CD, "Cafe Instrumentals." In sum, this debut cassette is a varied interesting set of 11 numbers. Incidentally, side b is all instrumental. Again, if you like the instrumentals best, check out the CD!
