If you like early 80`s dark, electronic pop ala Gary Numan,John Foxx, and Japan, then you`ll like Jimi Sumen too.Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Jimi Sumen creates dark,electronic pop as if to get Finland in on the electronicscene that devoured Europe. Jimi borrows a lot from hisEuropean counterparts Gary Numan, John Foxx, Bill Nelson,Japan, and David Bowie and has covers of the latter twoon this LP. He incorporates synthesizers, CR-78, guitar,e-bow, and acoustic drums to create a very nice electronic/new wave sound that is but a memory today. Jimi went on tobecome the guitarist for Classix Nouveaux in their latterdays and released another solo album in 1993 entitled,Paintbrush, Rock Penstemon.Very good dark, electronic pop/Recommended.
