Ian North was one of the originators of New Wave.In 1975, he founded the band Milk `N` Cookies. Afew years later, he moved to England and formed anew band called Neo. He moved back to the USin the 1980 and released a couple of solo records.In 1982, he released this e.p., Rape Of Orchids.One of the best dark, electronic pop releases I`veever heard. R.O.P. is similar to John Foxx`s album,Metamatic, and early Human League. Ian usesa minimalistic approach on this e.p., but the songsare very tight and captivating. I couldn`t recommendthis album more. Ian`s wife, Deborah, has also released a 12" under the name Eve Electro.Excellent dark, electronic pop.Highly Recommended.
